Song Check Live Event at 7 Degrees Gallery

I have just been recently introduced and associated to this event. Here is a recent press release for the event.

Matt Russell is a really hip guy I met through surfing myspace.com profiles. He has a vision of creating a new musical media presentation through live recordings and tight locations. This project I believe is going to turn out some amazing stuff this year and for years to come. After the press release I will have more information about the background. Coming soon I will try to have an interview with Matt Russell posted. I expect to be selling pieces of my latest works to benefit The Mosaic Project.

Opening up for John Mayer this summer, headliner Brett Dennen, and friends come together for an unforgettable celebration for the first annual ‘The Brookledge Sessions’ benefit concert presented by SongCheck Live. As the creator of The Mosaic Project’s musical curriculum, Dennen turned Russell on to the organization. “I hope anyone who considers contributing to this event doesn’t just look at it as an endeavor that supports artists, but one that represents an opportunity to help build a more peaceful future,” notes Russell.

Award-winning film composer and music producer, Steve Wood (IMAX® films, Sting, George Harrison, Kenny Loggins) will mix and master the recordings from the night’s performances. Indie Rock, Indie Folk, Pop – just some of the styles well-represented by the singer/songwriters performing.
