"Contour Lines" - Nathan Paul Gibbs
Found wood assemblage on wood panel with acrylic and toner transfers.

I found some pieces of driftwood on a trip down the coast one summer, and after I placed them it looked like a contour line drawing. So I tonal transferred a quote from Piet Mondrian on a found piece of lumber, and painted what I thought was a reflection of the contour surf.
The quote reads, "The contour line...the most simplest and characteristic form".
